EDCi is actively contributing to the standardization of the "Digital Product Passport (DPP)" in 2024, the special field is the "DPP identifier", for example as a QR code with the identifier and its attributes:

DPP is an EU project that aims to contribute to sustainability for the benefit of the European population. In addition to the traceability of the relevant products in the supply chain, the public should be able to access specific product information via smartphones. EDCi is carrying out detailed analyses and developing potential solutions based on the existing basis of automatic product identification.
